I've got you beat - 3 hood dents from my mechanic. Two from installing the strut brace on the front side of the uprights (he's a 944 guy and they evidently don't have this clearance problem), both cracked the paint slightly. And another one from leaving something on the engine while dropping the hood. Sigh. Sometimes ya just can't win.

Yeah, that's why, though I don't always want to, I tend to do the work myself. I find it a lot easier to deal with my screwups than that of someone that I'm paying for the work.

lol - i've done plenty of dumb things myself, and have a couple of dings and chips to show for it. definitely better though to yell at myself than raging on a mechanic.
