Lol, I was thinking the same thing - very annoying to be so close and yet so far away from that magical number. Of course if you look at the stats of various new Ferraris or Porsches or Lamborghinis there are quite a few with a listed top speed of 192 or 194 , 197 even.. that's just frustrating !
Btw, this car does look like it has stealth technology so maybe it is able to avoid any radar / laser speed readings .
Hey, the Toronado is a classic ! Always liked that car back in the day. Besides, there's a soft spot in my heart for the Toronado - I was a front seat passenger when we were hit in a head on collision - we were going 40-50 mph, as was probably the other car, so a forceful collision dynamic for sure... that was before shoulder seatbelts were the norm ( not to mention airbags, lol ) and although I don't remember if I even had my waist seatbelt on at the time, I do recall getting out of the car in a complete daze but without the slightest hint of a scratch on me.
Wondering if you'd be so lucky if you run off the road , roll or hit anything in these new cars at 200 + mph ; the safety engineering is supposed to be phenomenal, nothing short of F1 or Indy cars in term of utmost driver and passengers protection, but sure do to want to be the guy testing that ..
