I found another 15-25hp in the SC kit.

did some more design work today. the more i work on this, the more i like what i am seeing. if all goes well, i will have a prototype in place in about a week, and testing and tuning completed before the end of september, and off into production.

You're certainly stringing this one out. You have probably instilled significant expectations by now - I hope it's good!

lol - it's not a simple project. wringing out more power from something that was maxxed out is not particularly easy. also, because i want to fully test it, setting things up for that takes time.

it will be worth it in the end though.

flash, you said in your first post:

----------------

This will NOT increase peak boost.

This will NOT require any crazy ignition system.

This will NOT require injector changes.

This will NOT significantly alter the tailpipe emissions.

This will NOT void your D1R SC Kit warranty.

This will NOT void your Rotrex warranty.

This WILL make the engine run more safely.

This WILL be a complete "soup to nuts" package."

It will be a straight forward installation of some additional components, and should take about 1.5 hours for the average back yard mechanic. No special tools will be required.

----------------

Lowering the intake temperature for more density would "fit the bill"? Could be done either through water injection and/or intercooler.

Whatever the kit under development does, I wonder whether adding an intercooler could/would be worth the effort and expense?

See "throttle body heater" for some recent discourse on that topic.

lol - i love the speculation

i cannot let any of the details out yet. i have already seen too many of my innovations from this kit end up getting copied in another kit in an attempt to make that kit work. i'm not inclined to give away the "magic bullet" that is going to make this kit even better.

sorry guys.

i should have a prototype in about a week, and testing and tuning completed within a month. i'll have production details next week.

If this is a marketing plot to get us all worked up and excited, it's working!

Larger diameter rear wheels so the car is always facing downhill and, therefore, goes faster?

i wish i could let the cat out of the bag, but first, i want to verify that i got what i think i will get. i've definitely had enough of the "chart hounds". i'm going to thoroughly test and prove this stuff before publishing anything of detail.

at least it looks like there is enough interest to go forward. the development costs are going to be ridiculous, and if i didn't have at least a dozen people lined up, it would not be worth it.

lol - you would be better off keeping a cooler in the car, driving like a lunatic, and then pulling over for a cold one. i think you'd feel more of a rush.
