I found another 15-25hp in the SC kit.

curious to see what it does, I've been wanting to Rotrex my 968 but put a Vipec ecu on it, build the engine and turn the wick up. It will be much easier to start with your kit....people slagging Rotrex's are quite common, mostly turbo guys but they just can't figure out why our sector speeds are higher than the turbo cars......lol.....I've been using Meth on my Rotrex powered Mini for years now..........all meth kits ARE NOT ALIKE.....you definitely get what you pay for. Oscar J dropped by to swap the new pulley Friday on my Rotrex sponsored Mini Cooper.......this is on 91 pump gas and NO meth. (it should make about 430+ with this pulley on 91 octane) It typically picks up around 40hp on meth. E85 goes in next month, expecting 500+whp........yes......in a Mini Cooper

well, i sell the "hardware only" version of the kit, which would require you to get your own head unit and tune it yourself, so you could do what you are talking about

that would be perfect.........that is only for the 30-94 version?

will it house a C38 frame?

if the housing is the same with respect to how it mounts, and the shell size is the same, it will fit fine. frankly i haven't checked yet. i'll take a look.

lol - of course then you get to deal with the weak rods when you increase boost, just like i did.

don't worry, when I do this it will be full on built. Last thing I want to do is shoot a rod

I had to make a different mount for the C38 over the C30 so it will need to be changed

yeah - i just looked at it. it won't work at all. won't even fit under the hood. i was barely able to get the 30-94 in there.

when we looked at the 38, it was just way too big for this engine, no matter what we wanted to do.

good luck.

Thanks! I'll ring him up. I think the last I heard he was doing something with Skunk2 out in Norco. I've known Oscar since he tweaked the suspension of my 1st gen Integra in '87.

Guess I'll just add this to the rebuild costs. No sense in putting it back together and have to make changes after the fact. Especially when it might help avoid my predicament in the future.

got sidetracked with a whole bunch of honey-dos

i got my preliminary tune done on my car as it, so i can get going on this now, and i have started working out the stuff for this. sending drawings out next week. should have prototype stuff shortly.

i want to be clear about this setup. it is NOT going to be a part of a "Stage 2" kit. there will be no Stage 2 kit per se. this will be sold separately as an upgrade to the existing kit.

Give us one hint.... If I put my engine all back together will I regret not installing the kit before re-assembly or will it be relatively easy to put on a completed engine with SC?

Have the same thoughts.

Will the "setup" affect reliability (except by adding more HP)? Any risks associated with the "setup"

Probably involves relocating the blinker fluid reservoir...

Yes, you stated, "This WILL make the engine run more safely."

Certainly looking forward to hearing more about the kit.
