Hi there
#1

Hi everybody!

I actually don't have a 968 but I'm seriously considering getting one (if I can find one near me, that is).

I'm glad that this forum exists, so that I can learn more about the 968!

Welcome.

Is shipping or a road trip out of the question for some reason?

The 968 is a rare car, not super rare but outside of mine, I only see about 3 a year. Although you may find one in your area, the chances of finding "the one" in your back yard is pretty slim. Expand your search via ebay and auto trader and grab a good one. You'll find good help here also for ones willing to check the car out for you.

X2 BIG TIME!

I looked for about 2 years just scoping out prices and extras.. learning about the car, but when I actually decided it was time to buy, I looked hard or about 4 or 5 months. I was living in extreme South Arizona at the time, and I found my 968 in Seattle. Naturally I had a PPI done.. Once I bought, I flew up, had the PO pick me up, I dropped him off and spent 3 wonderous days getting to know my new baby on the way back to S. AZ... great times!

yup - found my blue one in cleveland, and the white one outside DC

it is surprising how many there are hiding out there somewhere - there are quite a few here - every time i think i know all of them in my area, another one pops up - yesterday ayn spotted a white one with a bra 4 exits up, and i am still trying to connect with the black cab that i have now seen twice but not been able to hail, and there is a silver or grey cab near here too

be patient - look around - know what you want - it will pop up

Yup, started reading through the Reading Room

I have a 01 Audi TT right now and would love to get a 968 ...

They only thing is, I can't figure out exactly how much cargo space the 968 has and if you can add an OBD/OBC

I'm not sure what an OBD/OBC is, but I am pretty sure the 968 has more luggage space than a TT.

Dang so the 968 has more than 22 cubic feet of luggage space?

The 968 does have OBD (on board diagnostics).
No OBC was offered.

For some the search is half the fun.

Thanks so much for the answer!

Yea, I tried searching with many different key words, and I couldn't find what I was looking for.
