Help w temp gauge
#1

Hi all

My 95 cab runs at 3rd (3/4) line when it's hot (90+) outside. At stop it runs in the middle. Revving engine causes it to go up to 3/4 line. Both fans are go on together. Fan speed increases and seem to operate ok. What does each line on the gauge represent in temp increase? I already had the thermostat replaced but same issue. 95k mi. I think my radiator might be compromised and can't handle high temps any more. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

the 8 o'clock line is 176 degrees F and the 10 o'clock line is 212 - the factory thermostat is 182 degrees - you should run 100 degrees over ambient, or 15 degrees above your thermostat point, whichever is higher

many of us run the lower temp fan switch - there is another thread with the part number - do a detailed search

hope that helps
