Tail lights and the missing bulb.
#61

Yup. I pulled the drain plug and a little bit of oil came out, so maybe the problem is gone now. Time will tell :-)

Oops I missed that one. I thought so but thought I'd check, and then I was thinking of the differential for some reason.  On the tip differential you don't want to fill it to the top, and the ATF for the tranny is a curiosity. You're supposed to fill it up when its running. First I've heard of that one.

Back to the missing tail light bulb. The 944 crowd has been making this mod for some time now. Simple to make but "only944" now has a simple kit. I replaced my empty socket with an added light for my brakes a long time ago.

Click on Parts Catalog, Body, and then Tail Light Kit.

Thanks, Larry. This could be a nice addition for safety. So you did brakes vs driving lights? Would you still do that again?

I thought the Brake Light was the best option. As many crazy drivers are out there, any added Brake illumination seems like a no brainer to me. I would hate someone slamming into the rear of my car and saying they did not see I was braking.

Yeah, that happened to me and I ended up replacing both tail lights but then some people just aren't looking. In this case the individual was in a high cab and just didn't seem me slowing to make a right turn. I just need the cap for the light and I can splice it in to the other brake light. I'm a little concerned about the wattage so I may have to replace the bulbs with LEDs... always one thing or another... which makes one think twice.
