Both Guards Transmission and Quaife make a torque biasing LSD for the 968. Any difference between the two
products? I have heard positive things about the Guards unit on this forum but nothing about
the Quaife.
Thanks for chiming in if you have an opinion. Cheers!

Guards also make a motorsport(clutch) type lsd, which is more suitable for track work as it helps the stability of the car under braking,(I have a similar type in my car)Quaife/torque biasing works under acceleration only, fine for the street, less maintenance than clutch type, and quieter in operation.

Torsen being short for TORque SENsing. I think they invented the design and now the brand is used not only describing a brand but also a concept, kinda like Kleenex.

+1. Its like woodstock all over again!
I believe the factory supplied LSD is Torsen.

Mine's 220 and a torsen. I thing the clutch (ZF) were only available in '92 as a side option to the torsen unit.
