Hi Folks
Im after some advice on LSD,s.???
Im looking at changing my trans from my 944S2 [ i know its not a 68 ]+ fitting a LSD equiped one.
What i need to know is.
Which are the better LSD,s
Plate or torsion.??
I use the car mainly on track days BUT also use it for general "enjoyment" driving on the road....
Which type would i be better off with.???
Pro,s + cons please.....Ta.

I had the stock torsen unit. I switched to the Porsche Motorsport clutch type unit when we did the turbo conversion at the suggestion of my mechanic. He said the torsen unit wouldn't hold up as well as the Porsche Motorsport clutch because of the increased torque my engine was now putting out.
I'm also a track-rat type of driver and don't put my car on the street much at all. I haven't had any problems with the new unit to date.

Thats the sort of answer i was after.....
Only one snag ,, the plate type [ Porsche motorsport ] arent cheap....

I'm going to guess that a new OEM LSD would cost way more than the Guards or Quaife.
