Front Sway Bar Links
#1

So, after having M030 sway bars put in, and with my car already being lowered, my mechanic has noticed that the bushings on the front sway bars are now rubbing, I think on the control arms. He suggested replacing the sway bar links with adjustable ones so that we can fix the rubbing issue.

Any suggestions on where to find these?

pretty sure that's not possible when properly installed - if he put it in upside down though, it will

I concur with Flash - the ends of the bars should be under the a-arm.

Agreed, when properly installed the M030 sway bar does not rub on my car and it is lowered as well. I have the H&R progressive rate lowering springs which lower the front almost an inch. Have him reinstall them for you. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Yep, just spent a couple of hours lying down on the job to install the M030 Bars... if you use the correct factory bushings on the front links (one under and one above the control arm) and have the bar oriented correctly, nothing will rub even if your car sets a bit lower... the control arm stays in the same relative position to the Links as before...

However, you could probably "adjust" the stock links a bit if you used some sort of a spacer underneath the lower bushing...a thick aluminum or hard nylon washer, maybe??? Not sure why you would need to, but it prolly could be done, as long as you have sufficient threads on top side.

You may want to adjust them slightly to get a neutral position after corner weighting. As above you can shim the link to the a-arm by using additional washers on one side before the first large washer or by shimming between the main/ inner drop link and the chassis rail
