I purposely bought a car that was not a concours car so I would not constantly obsess over the car like in the past. I keep the wife's white 968 clean and shiny but all I've cared about on the blue car is mechanical stuff and that has worked well. So I showed up at Darryl's place with my typically dirty Midnight Blue cab and Darryl got excited that he had a car to demonstrate a lot of paint correction. Since I wasn't planning on staying long because I was just taking a short break from the office I declined Darryl's offer.
Well today was 45 degrees rainy and steady winds of 35+mph with gusts up to 50 and I did not want to go to work so I decided to clean up the car. I had a
Meguiar's Dual Action Microfiber System sitting around that a Meguiar's rep had given me to try out so I figured I'd give it a shot. After a quick clay bar session I did the two step process and was impressed with the amount of correction on my swirly, hologram covered car especially since I wasn't even trying that hard to get it cleaned up.
I do remember why I have not done this in awhile because I can now see every little chip in my hood and front bumper but wife liked the mirror effect.
One of my helpers zonked on a dog bed by the door, dog hair complicates the process.
One of these days I'll do something with the floor and walls in that garage. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Now that you've gotten rid of that M brand stuff, come back down and I'll hook you up with some nice maintenance products!
Great to see you on Detail Day.
