Engine cover P O R S C H E inlays
#21

along those lines, I wonder if you can find some transparent material ; wunder-plexiglass / composite of sorts which might be strong enough to respond to the kind of forces the bar is subjected to ??

flat, enough clearance...and you'll be able to see the complete R

Good job Flash, I am also interested in a flatter, wider strut brace. The round one contacted my vanity cover when the engine rocked under accelleration and decelleration. Hope you can craft a good one for a reasonable price. good luck, Bob Blackwell.

pretty sure i can get it done - design is worked out in my head - i already located center sections that look like they will work, and once i get the dimensions from the manufacturer, i can get to making the end brackets to connect them to our car

retail cost looks like if will end up just about the same as list price on the KLA - i'm looking for it to land in between the current market price of the KLA and the price the dynatech was selling for

my goal is to have one done before the rocky mountain high event

ok, sorry , back to the lettering topic - the body shop that did the paint-to-match job for my oem door mouldings, said they'd charge me $ 25 to paint the raised lettering - still getting both the silver and the black, just having the silver done in iris blue professionally, instead of attempting to do that on my own.. much wiser choice, knowing my skills ( lack of.. )

Well, I just received my lettering and the DO NOT FIT the 968 cover.

Bad deal.

I will email and post the reply.

Some of the letters are just a bit off and some as not a good fit at all.

No usable as far as I am concerned.

I had planned to order two sets, and each day when I was just about to log on the site or call, something came up and I never got to it.. now I'm glad I didn't, but I feel / share your frustration nonetheless.. what's the matter with these guys; they clearly list 968 under that item

Has anyone ordered the INTERIOR trim kit? I was thinking of doing my dash, IC and clock area. Their pictures of their 944s and 928s look nice. They say that they are laser precision cut, etc.

Flash,

I have been sitting on my hands for months now about the KLA brace. I just cannot get past the looks of it, I feel as if it takes the engine bay down a couple steps. If you can make a flatter brace that looks at least half as good as the Dynatech I am there.

i'm working on it - getting closer now - when i get something worked out, i'll let everyone know

the kla looks pretty good if you shoot it in SEM Trim Black - that doesn't solve my vanity cover issues though

looking forward to seeing what happens on these letters

I just got off of the phone with Veronique about the letters.

They were given bad info on the 968 being the same size as the 944.

Anyone who has received the letters can keep them and give them to a 944 guy. You will be getting the correct set as soon as they cut a prototype set and send them out to me for approval. If they fit, they will cut up new sets. They will change the web site to reflect a different part number with a picture of a 968 cover.
