Race Engine
#21

Throttle Body is Ford/Mustang . We had to rewire and check voltage to Bosch ECU.
First time we missed...
The good news, 968 ECU likes more modern Throttle Position Sensor .
I can't go into more detail.

Hideous abomination of a 968 engine. Please send me the engine's location address and I will come take it off your hands so nobody needs to scar their eyes looking at it....

Engine is lighter too-No balance shafts
If you look at first picture you can see flat device plumbed into oil lines. After running for twenty minutes - that comes apart and has a very fine filter to look for debris. Virtually none was in screen-yeah

Cool. The next focus for me after sorting safety and a massive handling upgrade that has seen my car in build by the race shop since late November, and is just about done....is grunt. I need to get GT3 speed, seriously. Keep it going RS Barn.

No balance shafts? I guess you will be looking for a check from Mitsubishi! About $8.00 would be about right?

The balancers were designed to work in standard rev range. This motor will go to 7800 rpm. Balance belt go boom!!! Bad

Nice project!

But remember what Mario said: "You can make 'em fast, or you can make 'em last." So I, for one, will be interested to see how it works when it's put to work.

What did you learn from the build, Pete, that will transfer to customers being able to build super-duper NA street engines?
