The hatch latch (the "receptacle" that attaches to the body) in my 95 coupe shows part # 944.538.056.04. I am attempting to replace it, and have a latch with part # 944.538.956.01.



(Tried to include a picture, but was unable to do so.)



Does anyone know if the these latches are interchangeable, and is there is any significance to the different part numbers? Thanks in advance.
