So after my last visit to the shop I recently realized that the snaps to attach the boot on the inside of the car are missing. There are two of these snaps that screw in with the screws on the side behind each seat. Both of my passenger side snaps are gone. Evidently they did not get put back on with the screws. Since it took me a while to notice (didn't have the boot on it very much in winter) I think it is a little late for me to complain.



So my question is, where do I go about getting replaceements? I asked my local dealer and they suggested I go to an upholstery shop. Does anyone else have a better suggestion? I don't know a good upholstrey shop here in Dallas so it would just be pot luck.



On a side note, my A/C is only blowing hot air, regardless of what the temp is set on and if the AC is on or off...that being said, I am driving around with the top down all the time now. Otherwise it is like an oven inside.

I was missing one of the inside snaps too. When I had a new convertible top put on last month, the shop replaced all the snaps so they'd match (the old ones were discolored), didn't charge extra for it. They are a car and boat upholstery shop, and they refinish interiors of restored cars and install new tops. Check your area for convertible top repair shops; they should be able to sell you (cheap) the hardware or install them for a few bucks. Hope that helps!

Very likely the plastic "clip" that holds the temp control cable in place behind the dash has gone away, which is very typical on these cars. Last I checked, the Clip is about $.90 from Porsche, and installation isn't too bad either. Don't panick on this one!



You can either order the part from any Porsche dealer, and try it yourself, or just have a dealer do it for you.



Chack and see if there is a repair thread for this on this web site or on the Pelican Parts web site... somewhere I saw a 'How To" do this repair....

Thanks on both accounts guys. Darth, if it is only a $.90 clip I will be very excited. I was anticipating a larger bill since AC issues always seem to be a bit more expensive then your average repair. Here's hoping...
