So, in for a penny, in for a pound... or several thousand pounds!
Since I am going with the Coilover Suspension, I figured I may as well beef up the Anti Roll Bars, and decided to go with the M030 setup... 30mm hollow front bar, 19mm solid rear bar, factory bushings, and heim joint adjustable drop links for the rear bars... heck of a deal brand new from Sunset Porsche!
Now, that said... are there any particular "Tricks Of the Trade" to installing these? Or, just get under and start pulling off the old stuff, and bolt on the new stuff? Any bolts that need "special" attention, as in like a torch? I've got all of the torque specs, so reinstalling shouldn't pose a problem...
Oh, how about the preload on the rear bar w/ the adjustable drop links... is the idea to have the rotational tension on the bar at "0", with the rear wheels on the ground, or should there be a slight "load" on the bar, and if so, biased toward which side? i.e. pushing up on the driver's side and pulling down on the passenger side, or just the reverse? I figure all of you track guys have prolly tried everything at least twice!!! ;>))
Put stiffeners on the front mounting brackets ...
Yes, those front brackets appear sort of "flimsy"... does someone make a replacement bracket?
Might as well do it right the first time!
