I noticed a new sound yesterday when I was shifting. Every time I let the clutch out it makes a little popping noise at about 90% out. I had the car off and pushed the clutch down halfway with my hand and had the same noise, and it doesn't matter if I am just clutching in neutral or if I am actually shifting. I am heading to the shop later to have them take a look but thought I would see if anyone hear has a suggestion. Thanks.

Sounds suspiciously like a Dual Mass Flywheel (<acronym title='dual mass flywheel'>DMF</acronym>) failure. The rubber between the two plates is a known failure point.

I ran up to my shop today and they looked it over and said they noise is definitely coming from the pedal assembly and not the transmission. It is more of a squeak I guess. They lubed what they could reach and offered to take the pedal apart because the noise seems to be up by where the pedal attaches to the frame. I didn't have two hours to wait though so I will have them fix it when it is up again for something else (inevitably). They said it isn't causing any mechanical damage so I should be fine to drive it, minus the annoyance.

The bushings that hold the clevis bolt (the big bolt that the clutch and brake pedal pivots on) could be going or gone, causing some play. I've got some noise and harshness in my clutch pedal travel and have ordered a new bolt and bushings from Sunset and will be crawling under the dash to put everything in soon - once I gather up enough courage.
