My car won't idle and dies. It will start and if I rev the engine, it will stay on, but when I let go of the throttle it dies. Any thoughts here?
Thanks

I'll check that, but I think it's a vacuum leak. Had the pan gasket and rod bearings replaced recently and I'm thinking something might have gotten dislodged.

So, obd is giving an Idle Control valve code. I'm assuming this can't just be cleaned out with carb cleaner and relates to an electrical issue. These things are very expensive and there are no aftermarket that I am aware of. Something like $593. thoughts?

would it still give a bad code if it were gummed out. I'm thinking the code was caused by a fault in the ICV electronics.

Could be a dead circuit or something internally, or could be just gummed up. Doesnt hurt to try spraying it our first. Not hard to remove, and install.
