brake pad transfer & smear
#1

Here I am again with brake problems. Our 94 track car is a former E race car bought from Texas. It had vibrating brakes when we bought it. The 928S4 calipers are installed with an undiscussed 5/55 prop valve. It was using Pagid Black pads front & rear. The steering wheel, wipers, hood & our brains shake uncontrollably when braking. After installing new front & rear rotors & recommended by Andreas at Pagid, Yellow pads we thought all was well, wrong. Same damn problem. Turn rotors, scuff pads & try again, this time with new ducts & hoses from RSBarn. It works great if not pushed but when you start trying to set lap times on street tires it rears it's ugly head. I am ready to slice my wrist!!

Have you scrutinized the suspension (bushings) and steering yet?

yeah - castor blocks will do that - don't assume they are good because they are new either - i had a spherical bearing unit fail on me with less than 3000 miles on it - great product too - no history of failures - just a fluke - it happens
