The issue is not about who has what right to do what or whatnot or whether or not someone's desire is understood or agreed with, the issue was about the respect for someone's desire to do something that had zero inpact on anyone else.
I'll provide one analogy and then I won't say anymore:
I am not a religious person. Never have been, never will be as far as I can tell. I have never understood why people feel the need or the desire to belong to a religious organization or group (church). But, I respect their need/desire/want to do so. I don't agree with it, I don't understand such need/want/desire, I don't like it. But it is what it is and for that, I will gladly respect their choice. Perfect example is my wife.... She goes to church (Catholic) just about every Sunday. I don't and won't. I will always respect her decision to do so even though I will never agree with it and I will probably never fully understand it. Likewise, she respects my choice to not be involved in organized religion even though she does not agree with my view.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Your post reminded me of one of my favorite sayings...
"There are no atheists in foxholes"
Seriously, cool that you and Mrs. biotechee have such different points of view and make it work. All I can think to say is...Hallelujah!
