Topics Not Being Marked as "Read"
#1

In the past several days, I notice that when I read through the forum then press "View New Posts", all of the posts still appear as new/unread, when in fact there should be no results except maybe a post or two that was made since I began reading...

Any changes to the forum software? This is happening on multiple PCs using Google Chrome.

BTW, this now includes my *own* posts, which never showed up in the search results before - assuming (correctly) that I've probably read my own posts and don't need to see them in the search results... [Image: wink.gif]

there is a setting in your controls that allows you to select "content not read" or "content since last visit"

the problem with the software is that it requires you to physically log out in order to register a "new visit"

there is a glitch with the software too which leaves posts you have read as unread - they know about it, and have fixed it in version 3.2, but it is not ready for release yet - as soon as it is, things will be right

I've not changed any settings in a long time - the only difference is the change you made to my Group - I wonder if that has anything to do with it...

Fixed - the setting had been changed in my profile somehow. Changing it back restored the normal operation.
