Well it's official, France is back into lockdown on Friday so tomorrow we're off to pick up some DIY stuff. This house will shine like a new pin by the time Covid is over.... I hope I get to see it!

I dont want to think about how much I have spent on DIY in the last 7 months, I could have had the car repainted and had some change

House is a better investment. Although I missed it intensely, the amount of money I saved not going to the track was eye opening. My lawn looks better than it ever has. I hate yard work but did a lot over the last 5 months. We will survive regardless of what is thrown at us.

I think everyone has written this year off, is hoping for a real solution/vaccination to be proven early next year, and then life restarts next Spring/Summer.  France has just been put into "confinement" for another month; stay inside for all but one hour per day, exercise and/or necessary journeys only... bonne chance à mes collègues français!

Watkins Glen ..... or should that be WGI?  Anyway, same question .... has the season finished?  I seem to recall you had a track day a few months back.

I was at Summit Point in the beginning of this month. Next week I’m at Thunderbolt at NJMP. Millville Nj. WGI is the correct acronym. That’s what threw me. Today I leave at 7:00AM to go pick up my car at Provost in Bordentown NJ.  Seems I bent two wheels at Summit Point. I think coming on to the front stretch a wee too fast I went over the curbing and caught the far side of it. The grooves are very deep and the violence of it was extreme. I managed to do this twice. It’s remarkable what can happen when you tinker on the track.

I'm glad you're getting some laps in, good luck next week. Do the races get posted on YouTube or similar?

This is HPDE high performance drivers ed. No competition. You drive in your run(skill) level group. So you drive around the track at speed while passing other cars. Individuals do post. I generally don’t because the worlds not such a nice place and posting info on yourself just opens another window into your life. It’s a blast though. Speed and driving without worry of da dreaded Pooleece. Got the car back yesterday. Now it just needs to be cleaned and polished.

If you can imagine the reality of public officers of the law being instructed to check on whether people have the mandated correct count of people over for Thanksgiving dinner then yes we all hope to have a good day. Can you imagine enlisting teachers to quiz their students on who was over for dinner? The only good news is we can now use the new tool given to us by our overlords to fight back. Screaming this is a peaceful BLM protest while videotaping allows you to conduct yourself in any fashion you choose without consequences. Give me back my Turkey you racist. Here in Pa. drinking was outlawed after 5:00 PM last night. Rise up against the jackboots.
