Airbox mods
#21

this has been an incredibly long journey, and it's not over yet

the last issue just arrived in mailboxes across the country last week (914 issue which should have been february) - the next one is almost finished - another day or two (968 issue which should have been april) - we are already beginning working on the one after that (boxster issue which should have been june) and it should be done around the second week of july - we stand a good chance of getting back on track by the august issue

the retest of the "improved" promax will be - no point in putting that in the magazine

the test of the intake is the focus of a story that will be in the next issue - the good news is that we have added a pdf version of the magazine to the website

dave greimann gets a big round of applause too - we kind of started this project in parallel, and ended up doing it jointly - he has been at least as instrumental as me in making this happen - he's been there every step of the way - we were constantly on the phone for every development and was extremely involved and equally responsible for the testing - i couldn't have done it without him

As they said in Vaudville "Don't applaud, just throw money"

This has to be the biggest bang for the buck there is, bar none. Zoom, zoom, zoom... - whoops, wrong car

Yes, I will have the supplies available for the mod on my site when the article is published. Note that you do not necessarily need my stuff and I freely reveal what the material is so you can source your own locally if you like. I do this as a convenience only to those who want one-stop-shopping!

Flash,

I thought you said the article was going to be in the issue we're waiting on now. I thought it was being mailed and emailed this week.

it is in the issue that is at the printer - the pdf version is ready - the webmaster is making the changes to the site - the moment they are done, it will be available - i have seen some of the changes implemented, but not all of them - i don't know if they will be working over the weekend or not - i have no control over those people - i expect it any time now though

I think so. It took my registration info and passed me on to a Credit card/PayPal window for payment. I paid thru PayPal with credit card but when I went back to the sight, I couldn't view any editions or anything more than I could befor I paid. Perhaps the company can set up a login screen so once a subscriber pays, they are Emailed an account name and password to login with. Just a thought...

you won't be able to view them on the site - you get sent the issue via email

i'll check with the webmaster on monday and make sure that it went through

in the meantime, if you could send or forward an email with your paypal receipt to flash@9magazine.com, it would be very helpful

So if I read this correctly, there will be individual .pdf copies of future magazine issues available for online sale?

You might want to double-check how they're made before they go up. The first .pdf's of the chip article were apparently done from scans of the magazine itself, rather than from the layout files. Couldn't be read.
