968 Gathering At Parade 2009
#1

We have narrowed down the date, and will be having our 968 Gathering at Parade 2009 in Keystone, CO, on Thursday, July 2nd. We will go for a short drive to a great spot for dinner and socializing.

PM or e-mail me if you'd like to join the crew, and be kept on the mailing list for details as we get closer to Parade.

As I write this, I see 23 968s signed up so far for Parade, so we should be able to get a decent turnout!

We're up to eleven cars and over 20 participants so far for our 968 Gathering! Should be a nice group. Let's get some more Forums folks signed up!

Chris,

Great to hear that you are hosting another 968 Celebration in Colorado.

Please send a flyer to me at dhassenbein@comcast.net and I will distribute them at my 968 Gathering Dinner on April 24th and the following day at the Swap Meet. We have 38 owners coming to the event and I am sure many will be interested in attending your event.

Hey Chris,

The "968 Only Dinner" sounds like a great event during a Porsche Parade.

Good job Chris, we shall be there! "ol blue" will be on street tires for the Autocross but we will still have a good time. Looking forward to seeing some of the 968 "Regulars" and meeting a few new folks, Bob & Patti Blackwell.

CONGRATULATIONS to Chris Lennon (Colorado Cab) for winning first place in the 2009 Porsche Parade Autocross! Chris dominated that Tiptronic to hold it in first gear despite the best efforts of Stuttgart Engineers to shift into Second gear on this tight and twisting circuit with numerous uphill and downhill sections. Awesome demonstration of driving talent, Chris. We had a blast and the dinner at "Fatty's" in Breckinridge was good too. Bob & Patti Blackwell.

Thanks! We had a great time at the 968 Gathering at Parade (photos to be posted when I recover a bit more from missing a week of work). I was thrilled with the autocross result - it was a really fun course.

Thanks for the great door prizes to "Flash" (968forums.com sun shade) and Pete of RS Barn (beautiful T-shirt and license plate frame). I am using them as you read this. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.
