No worries!!!

I am not "parting out" my 1995 M030 968 "show car" with only 2,738 miles (not a misprint).

I have just simply "swapped" a couple existing stock parts with "other" Genuine Porsche items.

I "traded-out" the optional "special wishes" Speed Yellow leather shift cap, knob and boot for a Genuine Porsche Tequipment Carbon Fiber and black leather unit.

I also "swapped" the 17" M030 Cup II wheels for a set of Genuine Porsche 964 RS "Magnesium" wheels (exact same size, but oh-so-much-lighter!!!). I also have a set of Genuine Porsche 18" 3-Piece "Speedline for PORSCHE" wheels (these remain to be my favorite wheels - period).

Also removed is the "tall" and "adjustable" rear wing in favor of the stock Genuine Porsche wing (painted-to-match in Speed Yellow).

Lastly, I installed a set of 964 Speedster seats (with the seat backs painted Speed Yellow), in lieu of the very comfortable optional "Sport" seats (which are now available for sale).

These are the only changes from stock, thus leaving well enough alone.....

Well, it's your car and you can certainly do with it what you please but I would leave it stock as it is SO unique, despite the mileage factor. BTW, if you come down in price on the shifter boot I'll buy it from you. Not to install it in my mint green cab but I think it is a cool part.

You mind posting a picture of the new boot? Also do you happen to have a picture of the original Window Sticker for the car?
