993 Headlights on an eBay 968
#1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSCHE-968...0237987217&

I hijacked this link from another thread after I saw the headlights. I almost wonder if they pop up since they don't seem angled forward enough to work. No fender modification that I can see.

Anyone know the car or who did the conversion?

yeah - that car has been discussed extensively here

that's the lambo door car that used to be on the east coast (was at the celebration 2 years ago) and is now out on the west coast

the lights stick up a bit above the fender (about a half inch), do not seem to be at the correct angle to project the beam correctly (though i have not seen them at night to be sure), and required fairly serious modification to the fenders (which they did pretty well)

but that is indeed as good as i've seen yet as well

I missed the doors or I would have remembered it. The ad barely mentions them - the wildest part of the conversion! Only one image with them open.

Good one - I hadn't thought of that. Dead ringer.

I can't decide on that color. It really shows off the curves, but I couldn't drive it. Cool to look at though.

If it werent for those doors I would really want the car. I created a loop and looked at it off and on all day at work.

reading the ad again, I just noticed he labels the engine a " HEMI " . <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> gotta love that, next time someone asks me what's under the hood of my 968, I'll just answer : Porsche's famous HEMI, of course !
