968 3D Crystal Model
#61

Interesting that these things pop up from time to time like bell bottoms and platform shoes. I sold lots of 3D crystal models just like this one 20 years ago. Hopefully the resolution has improved a bit so the car detail comes across better. We sold bases with an embedded light so the objects stood out. I'll probably build the same base with a Midnight Blue coloured LED(s), preferably metallic <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

i doubt that i am going to mass produce the display base. i may make one for myself, but that's likely to be it.

i am tracking these posts, and putting them on a spreadsheet. i'll make an announcement here when i am ready to pull the trigger, and i'll send emails to the addresses used when you signed up for this club. there will only be a few days though for you to go to the D1R site and order them. i don't want to hang everybody up waiting around.

[/quote]

I haven't posted a request because up to this post you have consistently, absolutely and unequivocally REFUSED to take any information about D1R ordering on this site. REFUSED. You getting soft in your old age or just continuing to try to confuse us?

Put me down for a coupe.

like all products, once they are done, i will allow ordering. between now and then though i need to see the finished product, to make sure it's up to snuff

Ahhh. I see.

You know if this works you could do one with cans behind it and a just married sign on the rear

Actually, I have to say I am a bit disappointed in you Flash...I figured that by now you would be able to produce a 4D model - lol

lol - i have - unfortunately the 3D model is stuck in the 4th dimension, and will take more time to convert to be able to be viewed in a 3D universe.

and yes, the 5th dimension model is also being worked on, but there are contract disputes between billy and marilyn, and their higher authority.

lbseq - obviously, sine this is a cubish model shape, that would be BOX CARS

What if I wanted one in a sphere? Would it change the job that much since the rendering is for the inside not the outer material that the image is lasered in?

Don't really want one, I just thought it would be an interesting ponderable.
