Interesting to see the gap between the 1 and the 2 spot

Well done Lexus! Also interesting is the gap between Lexus vs Toyota (46) and Audi vs VW (7).

Yeah, I guess there are a few ways to interpret the chart, but taking MBZ for example one could read into it that out 100 cars everyone of them has at least one problem and four more had one additional problem. Having said that, you could also read it as only one MBZ had 104 problems and the other 99 had no issues . And of course a gazillion combinations in between those two scenarios, lol.

A given vehicle can have more than one problem, but even so, the incidence of problems seems very high. I find it odd how the results from Consumer Reports and JD Power are often so different. With regard to Cadillac, for example, CU tends to rate them as generally below average for reliability. A lot of commonality between the two as far as the Chrysler family of products, though. Also, Subaru and Scion were dragged down in CU's ratings by, interestingly, a very poor showing by the FRS/BRZ twins - I wonder if their ranking by JD Power suffered from the same thing.

OT, but I really like the looks of both the FRS and the BRZ .

Me too. These would be high on my list if I were in the market for a new car.
