I think you assume too much. I guess as long as it's the short course.

Dave, you're in BRITISH Columbia, what the deal with maps from the "dark side" ?!

I'm open to different cultures; I'm a modern man I could have tossed in the Green Hell but I know the women wouldn't want to go there; we'll just pretend they are going the the SPA. Love the idea of offering the other Spa and going for a solo sporty drive; I've been in the passenger seat when my wife drive and it make me feel ill too

You suave big city boys, I must live in a cave as your last reference was something I had never heard of before. Once a rube, always one I guess. Tell me more master! Lol

everybody should start reaching out to the guys on .net, get them over here, and take advantage of the event to put faces to names.

No kidding, how great would a 50 + car final hurrah be ?! Yeah, it'll never happen, but we can sure try..I'm trying to find some of my old 968 email addresses and see who I can dig up ( or perhaps " exhume " is the PC term now ? )

3,000 miles and 48 hours of driving to get there,... I think a caravan from the East would be more likely than people doing that on their own?

Dave - good one. I would pay dearly to take one shot at eau rouge.

back on topic

i am REALLY looking forward to this now. everything is falling into place nicely. it's looking like it's going to turn into the best one of these ever. i am working on some special surprise stuff too. i'm being careful though to make sure that i don't overload myself, because i really want to enjoy this trip myself.

You do need to make it easier on yourself. No more hitting the rack before Scotch and Cigars.

lol - yeah - that's one of the primary reasons for setting the arrivals on friday and not saturday. it takes the 6 hours of driving up there out of the equation. as it was, driving up on saturday, and then doing the whole day of stuff, by the time we got back from dinner, i was just done. now, it's a pretty normal day, and i can actually enjoy the evening. i'm also enlisting other help, so ayn and i aren't scrambling around as much taking care of all the details.

i sure hope people reach out to every owner we know and try to get them to this. this is going to be the one not to miss.

@ Trevor : awesome , but no more " I missed the fun run because' cause I'm a bit under the weather " excuses...we all know the real reason was a booty call...though all of us entirely see that as a justifiable reason to miss breakfast or run, or whatnot.. Lol

@ Bob - I must test the car before anyone else at Paso and then render judgment on how it performs ..my opinion is the only one that counts :-)

oh great - since the only thing that matters to you is top speed, does that mean that i should make my appointment at CHP impound now?

Yup, save an extra spot for me also, that would be the proper outcome.. especially after the scotch tasting session :-)

Haha, nice try Dan. Fact is, I went toe-to-toe with our resident Naval Aviator [Chris] and lost. We continued drinking whisky and smoking cigars long after the rest of you geezers went to bed which resulted in me stumbling back to the room and hardly knowing where I was. Tracy threw me into the shower [solo] at 2a and there I sat until the hotel bathroom was under several feet of water. Have you seen 'Fear & Loathing in LV?' So there was no way in hell I was gonna make 7a breakfast given the shape I was in...

lol - and that is exactly why we are doing the scotch thing on saturday and not friday. that risk is just too high.
