all shipped on thursday - will arrive at pete's on wednesday
just so you guys know, today i installed the production version of the bracket - it was no more fun for me than it will be for you, but it can be done - i think i dropped the washers and nuts at least a half dozen times, scratched the heck out of my hands, and rediscovered a familiarity with a number of four letter expletives
i apologize profusely in advance for the extremely tight space and HUGE pain in the butt it is to get everything in there
to give you an idea of how hard it was to figure this out, i went through a half dozen cardboard models, and then quite a few metal prototypes, just to figure out how to make a bracket that did the job, and could actually be installed - this thing kicked my butt
however, it's done and it works - this should save people from a VERY expensive repair that they don't even know that they will have to make until it is too late, and then there is no correcting the clutch issues that caused it - it should also prevent the failure altogether if installed before the problem begins
contact pete at rs barn to get one
here is a shot some of the failed attempts:
here is the bracket installed, but not tight - it is the beta unit, and not powdercoated so that it shows up better in the pic - again, sorry for the odd pic, and a lot of stuff is still shown removed and out of the way, but there is no way to really get in there to shoot it:
