Due to a Hummer backing up on my front passenger fender I am in need of a new one, my auto body shop throught my insurance tels me it will take approximately 5-6 weeks for the parts to come from Germany. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new one in the US. My other option is to get it from a dismantler, I am not sure if this is the way to go. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

you can expedite that by paying a 10% premium, and it will be here in a few days - the last time a bought a fender (from sunset imports) it was about $600 - the 10% was well worth it to me

I don't know which Porsche dealer my auto body is dealing with, would the expediting fee involve other dealers other than Sunset, or do I have to stipulate to my auto body shop to go to Sunset. Thanks

edm, any Porsche dealer can expedite a shipment from Germany. And, I'd think the Hummer-dude's insurance should cover it. You do have a right to get your vehicle repaired promptly.
