Quick question...I'm probably picking up a set (4) 996 twists for my 968 this weekend and I'm wondering if they'll fit most easily in the 968 with the seats down or if they'd fit better in my A4? Seems like a stupid question but I haven't toted wheels around in either of my current cars and I don't want to get to his house and not have them fit. The wheels do have tires on them.

I have put 4 tires in the back of a 928 with no issue. I'd guess they should fit fine. Just figure the diamater and height of the tire and measure the car.

With the seats down they should fit. I have done it in my 944.
92 968 cab (cobalt blue/black top/grey int)

I got 3 18s w/ tires in and decided to throw the 4th in my buddies car. It will be tight if your buying 18s. I also had to scrub out a nasty tire mark on the seat leather [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif[/img] .
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I have traveled many times to track days and autocross events with 4 tires/wheels of stock size inside the back. With the back seats folded the rear tires will fit in the front, but one will be angled and set on top of the other. Behind those the fronts will fit side-by-side in the rear corners of the hatch. That leaves room behind/below the front seats for jack, tools, etc. and on the front seat for cooler, helmet, other gear.
If you are just transporting wheels W/O tires as you indicate, put them in, pad them, secure them, and drive.
