What did you do for your 968 this week?

I always leave a cat in my engine compartment for rodent control, lots of spare cats around here so no worry about running out. :-)

I used dryer sheets, peppermint extract soaked cotton balls, cayenne pepper ...nothing has deterred rodents yet from getting into the engine bay . I bought a sonic device which ( according to Amazon reviews works very well ) will hopefully keep those wire-chewin' vermin away from the car, but we'll see ..

The one I ordered is flashing LED only, not sonic. We have a lot of daily animal visitors that might also not appreciate the high pitch tone. I'm hoping the LED one works. And I think I'll stop by the East Bay Vivarium and see if I can get some shed skin from one of their large Pythons or Boas. I've had success with snake skin and rats in the past.

The one I ordered has both a flashing led ( just a single light ) and the sonic aspect, but the product details, as well as the buyers reviews stated categorically that it will not affect house pets, though Inpresume they are referring only to cats and dogs . Only rodents supposedly are bothered by the type of sound waves it emits. So can't guarantee your hamster won't be bothered . No idea about birds .

We have a cat that spends a lot of time near where I placed that device - oh, the irony here...the cat is not a deterrent to mice, but a 4" diameter plastic thingy threatens them, lol . He caught a couple of mice but he never kills them, just holds them down with his paw, lets off a bit and when they try to escape, presses them down again. Or, he gently carries them in his jaws and them lets them go free after a while . Same with lizards and birds he catches outside. I think the mice know his reputation so they probably told all their friends that feasting on the car wires should be perfectly fine. I've had two cars ( one of them the tiprtonic 968 ) but the damage was just superficial to the insulation and other plastic components, not deep enough to cause the wires to be exposed . Although given the number of problems that car has with cold starts I have to wonder if they pierced a vacuum hose somewhere in an osbscure spot, and I can't find it . And they leave droppings on the cam cover, which is annoying but of no consequence . I can just imagine the mouse going back and telling the spouse ; hey honey, guess what - I just sh*t on a Porsche ! And right next to a cat . How do you like me now ?!

So I think I'll check the engine bays today to see if there are any traces of vermin .

She's the one who called Ivanka a "Feckless C$%#", otherwise, I wouldn't have a clue who she is...

She used to be on The Daily Show with John Stewart. Now she has her own show - definitely left of center and not a fan of the racist, misogynist idiot in the white house.

Could you imagine the uproar if one of Obama’s daughters had been called that. The cities would have burned like 1968.

Ok, when I of all people become the voice of reason on this forum, it's a sign things have gone downhill and fast , but this thread is still 968 related so unless Obama or Trump drive a 968, maybe the political discussion is best served on another thread . JMHO ( and as you all know , there's nothing humble about me , lol )

A 968 would be a great family car for Trump ... no room for any children.
