VERY irregular idle

It worked!  The idle is nice and steady now.  I would never have thought to take the ICV apart (it took me over an hour to wrestle all 8 of the tabs free) to replace the o-ring.  Thanks for the tip. That was the last thing I had to fix to get the car ready to put up for sale, although I know I have to be realistic about the size of the market for a 968 streetable track car.

I stripped and rebuilt one of our five blade fans today, as it was really stiff,

I installed and broke in the cam on the rebuilt 2056 motor in the 914 ...you know, because it's September 14th (9/14)...



Mostly good fun, except the 3! trips to the auto parts store for a new fuel pump and AN fittings to address the fuel delivery issues...

The cruise can be affected by all sorts of things but two most common are brake lights, and the switch and dried out paper capacitors in the control unit

Given that it comes and goes with a good hood slam, I suspect the switch and the capacitor.

Doesnt really matter. I hate the CC. It makes me feel Im just putting wasted miles on my car. Big Grin

I have retro installed cruise, as we have so may sections of roads and motorways with "SPECS" time distance speed cameras,

its just easier to stick it at 55 or whatever on the cruise for the duration of the restrictions, because no matter how hard I try the speed just creeps up without it
