Transmission identification Help
#1

I recently purchased a used transmission...to replace my very noisy 6 speed.

Said to be a 968 from a 1994 with LSD.

My mechanic said it should have a G44 serial number prefix.

The only number I can find is a G2Z002....

Can anyone help ID this...??

The base type is 01E 301 103B which is a 968 trans (from Audi)

Thanks is advance <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

DUH

Scratch that request...when I went back, for the forth time, I cleaned it off more and found that it was G44 rather than G2Z...thats what happens when you get old and dont see things as well....I guess.

So problem solved..now to get it into the car.
