I had a case with Discount Tire here in Austin where the lug wrench scratched up the wheels of my wife's boxster inside the lug-nut hole area. This was a shop that came recommended by other Porsche owners in the area.
When I pointed the scratches out, the owner/manager immediately apologized. He said his mechanic used the wrong tool. Rather than inconvience me, he said he would get some refinished wheels for me and make sure I was happy with them. A few days later, he told me that He did not like the looks of these wheels. So he wanted to have min refinished instead.
He put the other wheels on my car while he had mine set to the best shop in Houston for refinishing the wheels. (They were the Turbo Twist by the way.) They came back perfect.
This is a guy who knows his business. Of course I told everyone how he took car of me, and you don't drive by that place without seeing some of the classiest cars in Austin there getting new shoes. He will get my business again. It just pays to go the extra mile.
