o.k. Got it sorted out.
With standard bright LEDs from the local electronic supply shop these numbers worked out (no specs were provided but these should be close for most LEDs).
They never had a 1 watt resistor so I ran 4 470 ohm 1/4 watt resistors in parallel instead. It worked out great.
Way better than changing or sorting out corroded bulbs.
