I found the comment about the GM part number in another post on the topic, which led me to tell the PepBoys guy to check a 93 vette. The part for a 93 968 was wrong, as noted earlier by Synchro.

i don't know which car the stuff came from (reatta?), but the GM logo and part number are right there on the lens and shell - one of these days i'll do a part number check
