I am considering buying a second hand Porsche 968 Techart cat back system I know is for sale locally. Anyone have any input on the sound or quality or performance impact of this system? Looking to use the car for some more commuting as well as track days, and my current system is extreme volume wise!
Tks
Mark

Mark,
I do have this system(I use my car as a daily driver), I have no problems with the system. There are two versions; one still has a small muffler (where the original resonator sits) and a rear silincer. The other option is just two pipes after the cat al the way to the rear silencer (my car has this system). The good thing is that you can fit this system to the original system any way you like, just the rear silencer & the standard resonator or no resonator and the standard rear silencer etc. etc. Have a look on their website for some pictures.

Tks for all the input. Re auckland - you are correct, there are not to many around. Maybe 6 968 CS's with the M030 pack. Includes a few imports.....still more than in North Carolina though eh? ;-)
To the Aucklander with the red 968, I am not sure about that exhaust....just issue is my car has more of a full race system and too loud to commute with much. If you buy that system, would you sell the stock system.....may be interested? Does yours have a cat?
