another correction, that is version 14 on my car, not version 2 - i think i am now on version 15 and headed for 16 (i was guessing before, but now that i actually listed them, i am pretty bummed) - although, we were technically i guess considering it as a prototype for the next RS system, which would eventually be dubbed "V2"

sure would have liked for the car to be warmed up for the stationary recording - it was really raspy when cold back then

lol - which old and which new?

what i am running now has nothing in it but the header and cat that were on there at the time of the recording, and at this point, even the header is a bit different, and it made a huge difference in tone - everything from there back is completely different

Those shifts sound very nice Fox. Did the stuttgart block make a big difference from stock?

Thank you, The Shift Block def. made the shifts crisper, more precise & got rid of the rubbery feel. It needs to be adjusted properly which can be a little tricky. I was looking for a short-shift kit but couldnt find one, so i ended up with the Shift Block instead. A cheap upgrade def. worth the money imo.

lol - yeah - i know - i've been dragging on the shift kit - but i've been trying to wrap up 3 projects before i knock out the prototype - the last one that was in the way is done today and am actually finishing the drawings today and sending them off to the machinist, before i have to deal with the chassis braces being finished and needing packaging

Here's an old clip of my car at WOT ( if I recall it was in 3rd gear, around 5k rpm ) It's captured with a cell phone so not necessarily an ideal sound reproduction , but you'll get the essence of it, nonetheless. Again, this is at WOT, cruising it's very civilized, a bit deeper and no drone, actully much quieter than I'd like it, but for " my ear " anyway, this rocks the 968.

p.s turn up the volume to 11 ( old "Spinal Tap " reference for those who are not too young to have seen the movie.. )

i think i am going to change the tip on mine to a larger diameter to lower the note just a bit. now that i have the supercharger on it, it sounds very different than before. i'll see what it sounds like after i install the modified downpipe.

lol, that is weird - i see only my comments on the post and a huge blank space between them , but no link, or no image / icon of any kind . and I'm not even on the " mobile" iPad, just the usual PC at work .. hmm wonder what that's all about
