KLA rear drop links
#1

Last W.E. I replaced the standard sway-bars with M030 + delrin bushings + front sway bar bracket support.

Everything went "smooth" and I can confirm that this upgrade is fantastic. The car corners like on rails, while the body stays nice horizontal.

But ..... I've stuck with 1 "stuppid" question.

I can't figure out the sense of the rear KLA drop link.

I attached it in the middelst hole of the swaybar. But can't understand the difference if choosing an other hole.

I also can't understand the difference in changing the lenght of the KLA drop link for the chosen hole as it simply turns the sway bar a very little bit and do'nt put any load on the bar as a spring.

it takes very little change in the length to affect a big change in the mechanical advantage - there is a good article explaining this on the kla site

the bottom line though, the shorter the arm, the stiffer the sway bar's torsional rigidity

adjustment of the kla links should be done with the wheels on the ground, and is only intended to eliminate preload due to a difference in length between the left and right link
