Supercharger Noise, What is Normal?
#41

I think I'd rather know it's the correct tension. If there isn't a correct tension per-se, I'd at least like to know the range others are using that is providing reliable performance and then I'll make sure I stay within that range.

while i don't use a tension gauge, and go by feel, i would set it at about 80-85% of what the OEM setting is (i'm sure it's listed somewhere in the manual). it doesn't need or want to be as tight as stock.

When you say OEM settings, I assume you mean the OEM setting of the belt per Rotrex?

no - i mean the OEM setting of the OEM belt per porsche.  there is a spec for how tight that belt is supposed to be.  you only need to tension the new belt at about 80-85% of that spec.
