Supercharger faction
#1

With all the forum uncertainty as of late I would like to suggest some sort of voluntary email exchange between owners of supercharged cars. Proving an alternative path for peer support of a specialty item would benefit all users of the SC system. This is NOT to say that if the 968forums ball is picked up, and we all hope it will be, that our regular discourse will be forked. Building a common knowledge base is best for all concerned both now and in the future when these car move on in their life.

There are about 40 kits out there and I can only name about 6 people that are active on the forum to bounce ideas and questions off of, the main source being Flash. When he retires peer support will be paramount to our "Cool Runnings'. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> (Why are their no Rasta emoticons eh?)

Personally, I would like to know who ALL my compatriots are (with their expressed permission) if just to say hello and swap experiences. I would be willing to maintain such a small list if owners want to PM me their contact info.

Again - this is not to supplant the forum venue if it is viable.

Thoughts?

I'd like to see this proposed to the non-members of this forum as well. Flash, would you be willing to pass on an invitation to the purchasers of the SC and have them respond to my email if they wish to be known? If they don't respond then your confidential list has been respected.

For those of you who are feeling positive about this please PM me with your particulars and I will forward the list to all who wish to be involved.

not opposed, but i think almost all, if not all, of the guys are members here. there might be a couple though that are not. when i get a minute, i'll pull up the order forms and such and see what i can come up with. i don't have a list per se. it's all loose.

Thanks for the positive response Bob. Intangibles being what they are I can't put a finger on who is a member with an SC or not. Maybe they only check in once every 6 months and miss the thread. A nice little informal registry would be complimentary to the support here for wayward members.

Aside from knowing our SC brethren we might even be able to get a handle on the street value of these cars as they travel from owner to owner. We have a fairly good idea where the NA 968 sits.

Cheers!

I think I have one of those things, either that or it's a loose belt at high RPM's.
