Rear Wiper
#1

Is this an electrical problem? Easy fix?

I just had a new stereo installed, would a rear wiper problem be unrelated?

Thanks, Steve

this happened to my rear wiper once.

if i recall i took it all apart and put 12 volts to the motor to see if it was still good.

the motor worked and it came back to rest where it should.

the motor was just confused about where it was.

it has worked fine ever since.

hopefully your wiper has done the same thing.

Many owners have had a similar problem. In some cases it's been a shaft in the gearbox that moved out of position. It's an easy fix, just slide the shaft back into position and stake the shaft retainer using an automatic punch, [or similar]. I did this years ago and it still works...
