Rear bumper cover INSIDE a coupe? (odd question)
#1

Here's a wierd one: does anyone know if a rear bumper cover could somehow fit inside a coupe?

I'm thinking maybe if I take the passenger seat back out and the rear carpet, I could somehow angle it in the spare tire well / passenger footwell and still close the hatch.

I'm still hoping to swap the cover, but I have little time and may need a backup plan - anyone done this??

Your car is bigger inside then it looks from the outside.

You can lower the backrest of the passenger seat all the way until it disappears under the backrest from the never used back seats.

I think it will fit perfectly, because it's also a very flexibel part.

Try otherwise with a piece of cardboard in more or less the same dimensions.

Hi Rob, people normally rely on seat belts and airbags, but if you're feeling a little nervous out on the roads these days I guess an extra bumper inside the car might afford additional protection Big Grin

For future reference, it is indeed possible to (slowly, carefully) put a 968 rear bumper cover inside a 968 coupe, with room to spare!

It's true, the bumper cover gently pressing into the side of my face made me feel very safe and protected...  Wink
