Slow crank ONLY on cold mornings start up
#61

it's probably like the japanese one i got a number of years ago (i still have one around here somewhere).  worked "ok" though as i remember, the voltage output was a little bit low.  not horrible though.  i probably would have left it in there, but i installed an adjustable one shortly thereafter, back when i was running the power pulleys.

Thanks, but mine is still working fine so far. I was just wondering, if so cheap, where does it come from and what about the quality? China?

Nah, even if it was made by Lucas during the notorious " dim " years it's still bound to be better than anything made in China .

No Dan, Waylander definitely has a point there, lol.

But, do they even still make stuff over there? Maybe some boats and stuff to play cricket?

Crap, I just thought of a much cheaper solution to the morning slow crank problem and regretfully it's too late since I already spent money on a new regulator..  I'm also cranky on cold mornings and can't really start properly until I have my coffee ; so maybe all I had to do is pour coffee on the alternator or fill the battery cells with coffee .. ??

Or hook yourself up. I would be able to start half the neighbourhood's cars.
