I had a rattling sound which sounded as if it was coming near the catalytic converter. It only was there for a few minutes when the engine was cold. and then it would go away. It turns out there is a small heat shied near the front right side engine mount. Adjusting the shield and tightening the screws or bolts took care of the rattle.
