Hi!
I need help installing original cup mirrors on 968. all instructions that I could find describes how to install cup mirrors on 944. In my case I have original mirrors and cables in the doors that are cut off. Does anybody have some instructions on which cable colors in doors should be connected to which cable colors in mirror connector?

Anyone having some service done or has wiring diagram or pictures of the connection in their cars from some mounting?
At least this is what I have from the car - 8 wires.

I found electrical wiring documentation here on site that helped a lot!

However, I had two extra cables on passenger door side: 2 "purple" in mirror and Blue/Green and Brown/Green in the door. I just connected them to one of the purple cables in the mirror... I could not find what it is for, any guess?

hmmm... just by accident in wiring diagram I saw corresponding two cables and it looks like that go to outside temperature sensor.. is that true?
I had no idea that it is mounted in passenger side mirror.

Yes, the outside temperature sensor is mounted on the bottom of the passenger side outside mirror housing.
