Fixed my rear windshield wiper...
#1

Had to drill out the rivets and then fix a shaft inside that slid out of place. I super-glued the shaft in so it won't vibrate out again.

If anyone wants the detail on how to fix the thing, let me know and I'll give you the details.

I did the same fix to my car. I found someone that needs the info and forgot where I got the detailed info with pics. If you have a link or written instructions, could you shoot 'em over to me?

thanks,

I don't know where the detailed info is...

It's actually pretty easy, just be brave enough to take the thing apart...

Once it's apart, it will be readily aparent what shaft if not in place...

This is a common repair - what most do to secure the shaft is simply stake the metal that retains shaft. If the shaft ever has to be removed for service, just tap the staked material back out of the way.

That was me looking for detailed instructions. I found a woman selling her car on Ebay and said the rear wiper didn't work. I gave her a general idea but she asked for more detailed instructions so her husband could fix it.

Still looking...

Mechanic said I need a new motor as my rear wiper is not working. Do you think if I did as you described I could fix it? ..or...if I bought a new motor is this an easy fix?

Anyone have any additional details? I saw a motor on Pelican Parts for $208,mechanic said it would cost $350, not sure if he was including labor.

Thanks!
