Thoughts on Front 993 Cup (Cup 2) Wheels that are 7" ET55
#21

Regardless of our personal wheel choices, we are all lucky bee's having a 20 year old car that looks so much better than all the dross being made today. And yes, I include ALL Audi's in that statement! What a waste of metal.

I think Mike on Wheeler Dealers said it the best when they did a Saab 900 or 9000 (or both), that when you bought a Saab, they had their own look. Nothing out there looked like it. Now every car pretty much has the same dimensions as another. I love the old A pillar on the 968, it's not as safe as a new car, but it's great that it's small and old school.

I have a 2007 Audi S8, and have to say, it is beautiful. Good thing it's all aluminum, so I take it that your comment doesn't apply!

Now if you had a 15/20 year old A8 then we could issue a dispensation.

Is there a part number on the back of the centers?

Those look like centers off of a later model car as they are a bit dished. I can look for the part number when I get home in a couple of days. You could just look at center caps on E-Bay for 996 and later cars.

I believe this is the part number: P/N 7L5.601.149E

I mounted them on my car without taking pictures of the back....here is an ebay auction:

I found them on craigslist locally, I paid the guy's asking price of $100/4. My wife spends that on tax on her jewelry!

Just a quick camera phone picture....they look great and fit great! I like the look of the triangles that the spokes create.

"MLB" or Michael from Madison, had contacted me about my old wheels, I ended up selling them to him, he came down from WI yesterday to pick them up in his Amazon Green convertible....he is going to restore them himself. Great to meet another lister!

I ended up paying $800 for the new wheels, sold the old ones for $200, new caps for $100 and $120 for shipping, so I don't know how much cheaper I could of gotten this done.
